【摘要】:Thispracticerecognizesthateffectiveness,safety,anddurabilityofanIRCCSdependsnotonlyonthequalityofthematerials,butalsoontheproperinstallation.ImproperinstallationofanIRCCSwillreduceitsthermaleffectiveness,causefirerisksandotherunsafeconditions,andpromotedeteriorationofthestructureinwhichitisinstalled.Specifichazardsthatcanresultfromimproperinstallationinclude:heatbuildupinrecessedlightingfixtures,deteriorationoffailureofelectricalwiringcomponents,anddeteriorationofwoodstructuresandpaintfailureduetomoistureaccumulation.ThispracticeprovidesrecommendationsfortheinstallationofIRCCSmaterialsinasafeandeffectivemanner.Actualconditionsinexistingbuildingswillvarygreatly.Thispracticepresentsrequirementsthataregeneralinnatureandconsideredpractical.Theyarenotintendedasspecificrecommendations.Consultthemanufacturerforrecommendedapplicationmethods.1.1Thispracticehasbeenpreparedforusebythedesigner,specifier,andapplicatorofIRCCS(InteriorRadiationControlCoatingSystems)foruseinbuildingconstruction.ThescopeislimitedtorecommendationsrelatedtotheuseandinstallationofIRCCS,includingasurface(s)havingafar-infraredemittanceof0.25orlessthatissprayedorpainted.Someexamplesthatthispracticeisintendedtoaddressinclude:(1)lowemittancesurfacesinventedbuildingenvelopecavitiesintendedtoretardradianttransferacrosstheventedairspace;(2)lowemittancesurfacesatinteriorbuildingsurfacesintendedtoretardradianttransfertoorfrombuildinginhabitants;and(3)lowemittancesurfacesatinteriorbuildingsurfacesintendedtoreduceradianttransfertoorfromheatingorcoolingsystems.SeeFig.1andFig.2fortypicalapplications.1.2Thispracticecoverstheinstallationprocessfrompre-installationinspectionthroughpost-installation.ItdoesnotcovertheproductionoftheInteriorRadiationControlCoatingMaterials.1.3Thispracticeisnotintendedtoreplacethemanufacturer''sinstallationinstructions,butitshallbeusedinconjunctionwithsuchinstructions.Thispracticeisnotintendedtosupersedelocal,state,orfederalcodes.1.4Thispracticeassumesthattheinstallerpossessesagoodworkingknowledgeoftheapplicationcodesandregulations,safetypractices,tools,equipment,andmethodsnecessaryfortheinstallationofInteriorCoatingMaterials.ItalsoassumesthattheinstallerunderstandsthefundamentalsofbuildingconstructionthataffecttheinstallationofanIRCCS.1.5WhentheinstallationoruseofInteriorRadiationControlCoatingMaterials,accessories,andsystemsposesafetyorhealthproblems,themanufacturershallprovidetheuserappropriatecurrentinformationregardinganyknownproblemsassociatedwiththerecommendeduseofthecompany''sproductsandshallalsorecommendprotectivemeasurestobeemployedintheirsafeutilization.Theusershallestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatoryrequirementspriortouse.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
