【摘要】:Thisspecificationestablishesminimumcharacteristicsforthosefactorsthatdetermineparticlesize,consistency,purity,andabilitytodrain.EngineeredwoodfiberthatmeetstherequirementsofthisspecificationmustcomplywithSpecificationF1292,ifthesurfaceisintheusezoneasdefinedinSpecificationF1487.Asampleofwoodfiberthatmeetstherequirementsofthisspecificationmaybedesignatedengineeredwoodfiberandbesuitableforplaygroundsafetysurfacing.Thisspecificationdoesnotimplythataninjurycannotbeincurrediftheengineeredwoodfibercomplieswiththisspecification.Thefollowingprecautionarystatementpertainstothetestmethodportionsonly,in7.4,8.4,and9.4ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Tomeettherequirementsofthisspecification,thematerialshallperformasfollows:Thematerialshallmeetparticlesizerequirements.Thematerialshallmeettherequirementformetalparticles.Thematerialshallmeettheallowableheavymetalconcentrationsconsideredhazardoustochildren.ThematerialshallmeettherequirementsofSpecificationF1292.Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesaremathematicalconversions.SIunits,whichareprovidedforinformation,arenotconsideredthestandardexceptin8.5.
