【摘要】:ThisdocumentspecifieslaboratorytestmethodstoestablishtheeffectiveshearstrengthparameterforsoilswithinthescopeofthegeotechnicalinvestigationsaccordingtoprEN1997-1and-2.Thetestmethodconsistsofplacingthetestspecimeninthedirectsheardevice,applyingapre-determinednormalstress,providingfordraining(andwettingifrequired)ofthetestspecimen,orboth,consolidatingthespecimenundernormalstress,unlockingtheframesthatholdthespecimen,anddisplacingoneframehorizontallywithrespecttotheotherataconstantrateofshear-deformationandmeasuringtheshearingforce,andhorizontaldisplacementsasthespecimenissheared.Shearingisappliedslowlyenoughtoallowexcessporepressurestodissipatebydrainagesothateffectivestressesareequaltototalstresses.Directsheartestsareusedinearthworksandfoundationengineeringforthedeterminationoftheeffectiveshearstrengthofsoils.
