【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverschlorinatedpoly(vinylchloride)(CPVC)Schedule40socket-typepipefittings.Includedarerequirementsformaterials,workmanship,dimensions,andburstpressure.Note18212;TheCPVCfittingscoveredbythisstandardwerecoveredpreviouslyinSpecificationD2466.1.2Theproductscoveredbythisspecificationareintendedforusewiththedistributionofpressurizedliquidsonly,whicharechemicallycompatiblewiththepipingmaterials.Duetoinherenthazardsassociatedwithtestingcomponentsandsystemswithcompressedairorothercompressedgases,somemanufacturersdonotallowpneumatictestingoftheirproducts.Consultwithspecificproduct/componentmanufacturersfortheirspecifictestingprocedurespriortopneumatictesting.Note28212;Pressurized(compressed)airorothercompressedgasescontainlargeamountsofstoredenergy,whichpresentserioussafetyhazardsshouldasystemfailforanyreason.1.3Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.5Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section8,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
