【摘要】:Groutusedinmasonryisafluidmixtureofcementitiousmaterialsandaggregatewithahighwatercontentforeaseofplacement.Duringconstruction,groutisplacedwithinorbetweenabsorptivemasonryunits.Excesswatermustberemovedfromgroutspecimensinordertoprovidecompressivestrengthtestresultsmorenearlyindicativeofthegroutstrengthinthewall.Inthistestmethod,moldsaremadefrommasonryunitshavingthesameabsorptionandmoisturecontentcharacteristicsasthosebeingusedintheconstruction.Thistestmethodisusedtoeitherhelpselectgroutproportionsbycomparingtestvaluesorasaqualitycontroltestforuniformityofgroutpreparationduringconstruction.Thephysicalexposureconditionandcuringofthegroutarenotexactlyreproduced,butthistestmethoddoessubjectthegroutspecimenstoabsorptionconditionssimilartothoseexperiencedbygroutinthewall.Note28212;Testresultsofgroutspecimenstakenfromawallshouldnotbecomparedtotestresultsobtainedwiththistestmethod.1.1Thistestmethodcoversproceduresforbothfieldandlaboratorysamplingandcompressiontestingofgroutusedinmasonryconstruction.GroutformasonryisspecifiedunderSpecificationC476.Note18212;ThetestingagencyperformingthistestmethodshouldbeevaluatedinaccordancewithPracticeC1093.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
